Guest Post!!!!

Hello to my readers! I have an amazing guest post here from a dear friend! I hope ya'll enjoy it and are encouraged! It's awesome to see young teens growing up to be strong Christians! Thanks a million Lexi for doing this for me!
                                                      ~Jenny~

Hi! I'm Lexi from A Unique Perspective. I also have another blog called Through a Photographer's Eyes. How does this gorgeous, fall day find y'all? Now back to business. . . . I was asked by Miss Jenny to share a little with y'all about the how it is to live the Christian life as a teenager. Wow!  I could write for hours and hours on this subject.  I haven't been a teenager for long (I'm fourteen), but I know that I still have plenty to share.

Friends are a big part of life, but if we hang out with the wrong crowd, it will hinder our spiritual growth.  I know that for a fact.  It isn't easy to say "no" when your friends want to do something they think is "cool" when you know that it is wrong.  Even though you might lose a friend for doing the right thing, obeying God and your parents will save you in the long run! I know all this from experience which ended in consequences. . . hard consequences, but Jesus changed my life forever.

Jesus endured it when people mocked, spit on, betrayed, and tortured him.  He gave his life so that we can serve him and have eternal life.  Because he endured the torture and cruel death, we should be willing to endure the struggles and trials on this earth.

I know it's not easy to make the right choices at times.  That pressure to be "cool" is always there.  We all make mistakes.  I make mistakes every day, yet God still forgives when we ask with a sincere, repentant heart.

I hope that what I have written as encouraged you no matter what age you are.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."  Philippians 4:8

  God bless you! -Lexi

Show and Tell

Hey people! I know it's been ages! Hey gotta love when there is never Internet when you get inspired to blog! Here are some pictures for ya'll to enjoy of Show and Tell day! The kiddos were all giddy with excitement but as soon as they got to the front of the class they suddenly couldn't think of anything to say! :) It was fun watching them and seeing them show off their treasures!

Here is Davy showing off something he made!
Austin showed us how to mold a bowl out of clay.

Micah brought his pet parrot.

Mackie brought his new knife and Desmond brought his backhoe.

Malachi brought some of his creative drawings to show! He puts details in his pictures! Tania brought one of her birthday gifts, a little treasure box that you can decorate.
Kaitlyn brought a cute umbrella that someone gave her...
Bonnie brought her doll, along with clothes and toys for it. This doll came to Nica in Bonnie's cousin's backpack! :)

In the above picture of Ruth, she was trying to remember where her doll came from. Lilly brought her sketch book and let everyone see her drawings! I think she is definitely  related to my little sis Judy! Their drawings have imagination!
Well I think that's all for now folks! Keep our little school in your prayers when you think about us!
