Once Upon a Cousinly Time

Howdy folks!
I should just tell you now... My blog will probably consist of mostly pictures. Hey they say alot! :)
We (meaning Liz and I) got to spend some time in Waslala! But guess what guys!
We had quite the time back there!
Second day there my dear aunt Mim was trying to start her oven which was full of gas and the flames jumped out and burned her.. Oh and might I mention? I got SICK!! Ok I have not been that sick in quite awhile! I was so weak I had to depend on Liz for a whole lot of things! Tell you what I have an amazing tia! One more thing yet.... (I know right?!) Dear little Cesia was stung by a bee and thus had an adorable little swollen eye.  Below is a picture of Ces and I. Hmm I don't look that sick there... I was actually feeling better, but soon after got worse again...
Mim rocking her burned look.. Poor dear went through a lot of pain! Her hand was burned worse than her face. Sorry no picture of the hand..
Hey we survived and we did have some good fun moments! :)

                                                               Beautiful Jecca^^^
Samuel wanted to get the girlies to blow flour out of their bowls till they found something at the bottom.. They were a little unsure so he showed them how to do it. No hands allowed!

In the bottom of their bowls was a chocolate. Their favorite candy!
                        Here's Samuel looking hilarious! ^^^

                          Someone was thirsty!

                                                          Love these people!!!
Jecca's dad has an alligator in his pond. Talk about a creepy creature!

Guest Post!!!!

Hello to my readers! I have an amazing guest post here from a dear friend! I hope ya'll enjoy it and are encouraged! It's awesome to see young teens growing up to be strong Christians! Thanks a million Lexi for doing this for me!
                                                      ~Jenny~

Hi! I'm Lexi from A Unique Perspective. I also have another blog called Through a Photographer's Eyes. How does this gorgeous, fall day find y'all? Now back to business. . . . I was asked by Miss Jenny to share a little with y'all about the how it is to live the Christian life as a teenager. Wow!  I could write for hours and hours on this subject.  I haven't been a teenager for long (I'm fourteen), but I know that I still have plenty to share.

Friends are a big part of life, but if we hang out with the wrong crowd, it will hinder our spiritual growth.  I know that for a fact.  It isn't easy to say "no" when your friends want to do something they think is "cool" when you know that it is wrong.  Even though you might lose a friend for doing the right thing, obeying God and your parents will save you in the long run! I know all this from experience which ended in consequences. . . hard consequences, but Jesus changed my life forever.

Jesus endured it when people mocked, spit on, betrayed, and tortured him.  He gave his life so that we can serve him and have eternal life.  Because he endured the torture and cruel death, we should be willing to endure the struggles and trials on this earth.

I know it's not easy to make the right choices at times.  That pressure to be "cool" is always there.  We all make mistakes.  I make mistakes every day, yet God still forgives when we ask with a sincere, repentant heart.

I hope that what I have written as encouraged you no matter what age you are.

"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things."  Philippians 4:8

  God bless you! -Lexi

Show and Tell

Hey people! I know it's been ages! Hey gotta love when there is never Internet when you get inspired to blog! Here are some pictures for ya'll to enjoy of Show and Tell day! The kiddos were all giddy with excitement but as soon as they got to the front of the class they suddenly couldn't think of anything to say! :) It was fun watching them and seeing them show off their treasures!

Here is Davy showing off something he made!
Austin showed us how to mold a bowl out of clay.

Micah brought his pet parrot.

Mackie brought his new knife and Desmond brought his backhoe.

Malachi brought some of his creative drawings to show! He puts details in his pictures! Tania brought one of her birthday gifts, a little treasure box that you can decorate.
Kaitlyn brought a cute umbrella that someone gave her...
Bonnie brought her doll, along with clothes and toys for it. This doll came to Nica in Bonnie's cousin's backpack! :)

In the above picture of Ruth, she was trying to remember where her doll came from. Lilly brought her sketch book and let everyone see her drawings! I think she is definitely  related to my little sis Judy! Their drawings have imagination!
Well I think that's all for now folks! Keep our little school in your prayers when you think about us!

Texas Sunset

Oh to see a beautiful Texas Sunset!!!
When you live in a city where there are so many houses and walls it makes it difficult to see the sunrises and the sunsets. For one the sunrises come way too early! ;) I mean they come at like 5 or 5:30!!! As for the sunsets we are usually in a walled in area or here at home making supper...  You almost have to be out of the city to see the beautiful sunsets.  One thing about my home in Texas it's wide open and there you get to see them everyday!!!  I really do love sitting outside and watching the sun go down (most times) and even getting a couple shots. :)

So there you have it folks! One thing I really miss about home! :) Ehh at least I can stare at the pictures of them on my computer screen.

Ahem excuse the little dark spots on these last two pics... Someone needed to clean her camera!
